What Now for the Monastery?

When the Monastery of the Angel’s closed in 2022, the Master of the Dominican Order asked the Dominican Friars to work with the Nuns to find a way to preserve the property.

Responding, the Friars and Nuns partnered to solicit proposals on how best to protect the property, honor the legacy of the nuns who have served so faithfully, and sustain the Monastery Goodies (pumpkin bread!) baking and candy business. Learn more here.

PRESS RELEASE: Nuns Prepare for the Next Phase of the Monastery of the Angels

The Monastery of the Angels has started to wind down activities in anticipation of the next phase of the facility’s future. Effective January 1, 2024, public access to the facility will end. This will bring to a close all liturgies at the chapel and suspend the candy and gift shop operations. However, pumpkin bread and candy will continue to be sold online until the current inventory is depleted.
