“So with the exception of the hours which the sisters consecrate to prayer, to reading, to the preparation of the Divine Office, or to study, they should devote themselves to some labor, as shall be judged good by the prioress.” (cf. LCM 103: 3)
Each sister is assigned a household duty. One maybe assigned to help make hand dipped chocolates, to be in-charged of distributing altar breads to some parishes, to teach in the novitiate, or to lead the singing lesson. Some sisters take turn in cooking and serve vegetables and fruits grown in our garden by a sister.
Silence is maintained while carrying out the assigned tasks and this provides an awesome opportunity of meeting Christ in our sisters.
